Professionally, Kelly is nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania where she has cared for patients for the past 16 years. Her career started on the inpatient Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant unit where she worked as a nurse and charge nurse for 9 years. For the last 7 years Kelly has been working in CHOP’s Radiation Oncology unit where she is a Program Manager.

She resides in Philadelphia with her husband, two daughters and dog Carl. She and her family love to travel, go skiing and spend time at the beach.

“My work at CHOP is where I met Colin, (the original MIP) he was one of my favorite patients. I have felt close to the mission of the MIP Foundation since meeting him and his family. MIP bingo is my favorite event that we do. It’s so much fun and allows a group of Colin’s former nurses to get together to spend an evening helping to raise money for a cause that is very dear to our hearts. Plus we are super competitive and
like to win.”
